What is a Mineral Slab?

Minstone Mineral slab is a new type of engineered stone. Like natural stone, Minstone Mineral Slab possesses a deep, rich appearance and a solid, rock-like feeling. Like solid surface, Minstone Mineral Slab has man-made additives that stabilize the material and eliminate natural stone's unpredictability. Beyond that, Minstone Mineral Slab, is its own, unique material.

Composition:

Around 93 percent mineral content. The high degree of mineral content gives Minstone Mineral Slab its distinctive look and feel.

Hardness:

The process of creating Minstone Mineral Slab saves the hardest mineral and eliminates softer minerals and impurities. This means that Minstone Mineral Slab is harder and more durable than natural granite and marble slabs.

Whiteness:

Compare to the regular quartz slabs, the Minstone Mineral Slab is much more white due to the higher refractivity of its mineral material and still offer the similar physical characteristics with quartz slab.

Fabrication feasibility:

Minstone Mineral Slab is easy to be cut, polished or laminated. The fabrication machine of granite slab or quartz slab can be used for Minstone Mineral Slab.

Healthy:

NSF, ISO 9001, GREENGUARD, and GREENGUARD GOLD certification is given to consider Minstone Mineral Slab a safe material for direct contact with all food. Its nonporous and nonabsorbent hard surface will prevent the growth of harmful bacteria and protect the surface with corrosive chemicals like acids or common cleaning solvents.

Maintenance:

Unlike other natural stone surfaces such as granite and marble, Minstone Mineral Slab won’t require regular sealing or polishing and it is stain resistant. In most cases, you only need to simply wipe the surface using a piece of wet clean cloth together with mild detergent to keep your countertop looking like new.
